The WMCTPHLM houses a growing and carefully preserved collection of artifacts, records, photographs, books, documents, and other historical materials related to Freemasonry, with a particular emphasis on the history and legacy of Prince Hall Masonry in Texas. The collection reflects the people, organizations, traditions, and events that have helped shape Prince Hall Masonry and its role within communities across the state.

Through its Library, Museum, and Archives, the WMCTPHLM is committed to preserving historically significant materials while making them available for education, research, and public understanding. The Library, Museum, and Archives staff are actively engaged in the ongoing preservation, documentation, and expansion of the collection. This work includes identifying, organizing, cataloging, and caring for materials that help tell the story of Prince Hall Masonry in Texas and the individuals, lodges, organizations, and communities connected to that history.

We continue to seek historically significant artifacts, books, photographs, correspondence, programs, certificates, meeting records, personal papers, organizational documents, and other materials that contribute to a fuller understanding of Prince Hall Masonic history. Donations and potential additions to the collection are carefully reviewed for their historical, educational, and research value.

Another important part of our work is the continued processing and preservation of non-current records from the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Texas. These records provide valuable insight into the development, leadership, activities, and traditions of the organization over time.

As the collection grows, staff members work to improve access to these materials by organizing records, documenting their historical context, and preparing them for future research use.
